Summary
Tons of fun
Pros: The graphics are amazing for its time, awesome control for a racer, many game options keeps variety in the game, 40 tracks! (that speaks for itself), multiplayer with only one cartridge (if you're still into that thing), a classic game, many characters from the series to choose from, awesome bonuses, strategic thrill, great soundtrack, packs personality, flashy presentation, pushes the limits of what you would want out of a GBA game, ghost trading,
Cons: Umm... well, it is a fun game, nothing wrong about that. No overwhelming sense of speed... that would've been nice, the happy music may turn some off, controls take some time to get used to, too many red shells going beserk in multiplayer, if you're a fan of that feather in the SNES version, kiss that goodbye, the value of this game is detracted by age and other kart games
Reviewer's Comments
A very strong racing game with tons of courses, although half the courses are taken straight from the SNES version. It is so much fun playing against others... but good luck trying to do that nowadays, since people have moved on to Mario Kart DS. This game, while it may be old, is most certaintly a classic. It delivers the roots of racing games, and all the good things about them, whole retaining a nostalgic feel.
