Summary 9/10

Pros: The graphics are quite detailed, and I love how you have to work for everything - even the characters. The controls are a bit complicated at first, but easy to use once you get used to it. I also like (though it may be a tiny thing) how the character nods, like instead of just a slow dip of the chin, your character bobs their head. It's also relatively easy to make money.
Cons: Prices to build things are outrageous, and the island, once you expand it, gets pretty difficult to take care of. Grass, unlike in other HM games, can dry up, especially in summer when there's not a lot of rain.

Mostly, I love the game. It's not really the greatest going by year after year without ever meeting who might become your spouse, but in a way that just makes it all the more thrilling when you do meet them. I haven't gotten used to the mines yet - I faint whenever I fall through a hole - but I'm sure I'll figure it out somehow. That's about all I have to say for now...
