SummaryCar is a wild baboonPros: *NOTE* This was played on gamecube, not PS2.
The feeling of creating a person/nationality whose name/flag is on the car. This gets you personal involved concerning repairs. Cars themself has a certain weight meaning 100yards jump are banned. Acceleration rocks the car forward as expected from a 200+ bhp car. Graphics are detailed and changing weather effects, "ghost" animals adds to realism. (A.k.a can be passed through w/o damaging the car). Speedometer w/ both km/h or mph.
Cons: French tracks lined by rockhard objects, especially in tight hairpins. The handbrake stops immidiately or not at all. (Much needed in french tracks). Silent audiences and a screaming co-driver fond of remarking your mistakes.
Challengegrade: Rockhard, not only because of perfect opponents. Steering is totally rubbish. The cars swings like a wild baboon across the whole tracks. (even on least sensitive setting). A small obstacle gets the car flying and crashing. In sweden you bounce like a table tennis ball between the plowed snow walls.
Reviewer's Comments
If they had put equal effort to the steering, as to graphics and car details we've had a good (not excellent) rally game to the cube. I have played 10+ rally games for PC and Gamecube and this is the worst by far. Only if you're a diehard fan of being more outside the track than on it. "Lively gameplay" means that you curse the car and co-driver lively. "Rental" is too kind, stay as far away from this as you can.
