SummaryKof Goes PortablePros: King of Fighters EX2 features four mode of play: Story, Survival, Training, and Two Player Vs. Mode, it offer 21 selectable fighters (including three GBA exclusive brawlers), two unlockable boss and plenty of unlockable features. The graphics are intense and very detail at time, each team consist of three characters and the two last characters act as strikers as well as upcoming partners leaving the last with none. The control handles perfectly especially with super combos and special attacks, the musics aren't that great but they aren't that bad either and the game did good to keep the fighting intact by offering different stages to fight in with no slowdown.
Cons: The only thing that isn't so great about this fighting free for all is that the boss character (who you fight at the end is quite lame) he always shoot electrical bolt at your team from afar and this broken the challenge, not only you will have to force to go to the other side but you must avoid his bolts as well which in my opinion a lame challenge, what's worst, after defeating the first version you'll be force to fight another version of him which is even more lamer than before.

SNK Playmore was quite good to handle the King of Fighters franchise and with Atlus handling King of Fighters EX2: Howling Blood, it just show a sign of sweet goodness of a great portable fighting game. Now if they would replace Sinobu (the elctrical boss in this game) with Rugal from previous Kof games, then this game would be more of a challenge. But as great as this can be, Atlus did do good with the Striker system with this game than what Sammy did with Neo Blood.
