Summary
Not for Madden players
Pros: I loved the whole college atmoshere. High school recruiting, fight songs, mascots. Just the whole atmosphere.
Cons: Both jukes on one button. I'll get into this later.
Reviewer's Comments
Very good football game. A lot of offensive and defensive formations. There must be over a thoughsand plays in this game. Also, replay is good too. I'm in my 9th season. Still not old. The game progresses your skills well. The sports illustrated covers really made the game more fun. I don't know why, but i always played pretend in my mind in every football game. I would shut out some team in Madden and pretend I'd get on the cover, and stuff like that. Now, NCAA takes that away, and I can win the rose bowl and see a picture of me on the cover.
The controll is pinpoint. Very easy to manipulate and stuff. Run with the controll stick, sprint with A, dive with B, ect.
This is what might cause you to not buy the Game. Madden. If you have Madden, and are loving it, do not buy NCAA. This is why: In madden, the L button makes you juke left, and the R button makes you juke right. Stiff arms are handled by the Z button. But in NCAA, both jukes are on the R button, it depends what way you hit the controll stick to make you juke Left or right. Z button are for laterals, and L is used for stiff arm. If you make the jump to Madden to NCAA, it takes about 4 games to get used to. Then, when you try to go back to Madden, it takes even longer, and might make you go 0-6 in the beginning of the season. So, what do you buy, Madden or NCAA? If you like college more, sell madden and get NCAA. If you like the pros more then college, then stay away from this game!
