Summary until Sept 15th go get it

Pros: large epic battle on 3D landscapes, huge map of Europe, Eurasia & North Africa to play on, relatively simple controls, lovely music of the age, makes u feel almost godlike watching all those little men kill eachother at your will.
Cons: tactical map is a little plain, takes a little while for things to get interesting, after a while the enemy end up with huge & endless armies, battles are actually 2D characters on 3D landscapes.

Reviewer's Comments

its medievil europe & everything is backward, but still it makes for a great game. were it not for the coming of Rome Total War in about 2weeks (15/9/04) then this would be able to say its the best of its kind. there are a few nags i have with it...but apart from them this is a great game. if u havent already got it i cant really say get it, at least until youve tried Rome: Total War as that is going to be much better. however if u dont like Rome: Total War when it comes out, you should still try this or even Shogun: Total War its predeccer before shunning the series.
