Video Game
Fast-paced racing game, Enter six different rallies, 29 licensed vehicles, Highly realistic weather and track conditions, For 1 to 4 players
SummaryAccessible as a McDburgerPros: Arcadefeeling. Cars are autorepaired after each stage, meaning focus can be on driving instead of worry for repairs. Stages look different, even in the same country.
Cheering audiences and a good co-driver is better than
the cars sound. The catch up effect are rather good. Not the cheating opponents as seen in V-Rally 3. I found myself "just one more race" which is good for a decent game. It does its job but it never touches excellent. I also enjoyed playing vs another human on split-screen. You can tune for instance, ride height, suspension and tire choice. Three difficulties which can keep even the hardcorefan to win it all.
Cons: When you see audience, five people cheers as 100. Still
there is a vast emptiness on both detail and any movement at all, except your car, that is. Mostly the brakes apply after repeated clicking and sometimes nothing happens, despite adding handbrake to the standard brakes. Only two stages are available, all the rest has to be unlocked. Normally they unlock after finishing them in Championship, sometimes here, quite a few tries can be needed. I wished a digital speedometer was included, sadly it isn't.

A decent game if you can overlook some problem with the handling and brake a little bit before you want. This was my first rally game and I still play it. Buy this before the crappy V-Rally 3, if you only have gamecube as a gaming console. Total: 3,8 of max 5.
