SummaryAnother Sad Ending..Pros: I'll start this review by saying, I really like the fact that Wizards etc. decided to make another Magic: The Gathering video game. The graphics are decent, and the spells-of-choice are tasty. A wide selection of characters to play as, and I like the game modes - mainly "Arcade Versus" mode.
I really like how each character - from the M:TG storyline, was created. I like detail!
Cons: Right idea - put together the wrong way. I mean, I like the spells M:TG Battlegrounds has to offer - but there are very little spells to choose from in the first place. The voice clips - 'quotes' are cheesy and the attack speeds of the opponents at times, are quite unfair. You never have enough mana, mana gain rate is very slow and your character's melee attack is off-balance. I finished this game, and returned it a day after without any regrets. Overall, this game is terrible - with a few exceptional 'Good spots'.
Reviewer's Comments
If you are able to rent, I suggest you do so. Take it home, play it and return it - You may find some bits of the game enjoyable .. But you'll clearly sniff out it's defects. Also, if you have any chance to get ahold of this game without paying, DO SO. You may think this game isn't worth the money you paid!
But nonetheless, you must try it.
