Summary Excellence from Koei

Pros: The graphics are excellent, for a strategy game. The music is amazing, and the option to have 8 players at once on one console is appealing, and that alone makes the game worth having. Controls are good, and there is plenty to unlock, with a Create Officer included, so it's got pretty good replay.
Cons: There is action, but the interruption in battle brought by the Strategy Phase may bore some (though I personally love how it works). Sometimes, you will attack with a gargantuan army, with superior tactics, and get devastated. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. Duels are a bit unfair, with the opponents getting their "super attack" far too often, allowing them to murder you, and I've gotten it ONCE for all of the time I've played.

The flaws may seem overwhelming, but the core gameplay really makes up for everything. Any strategy buffs should definitely pick this up, and also those who enjoy Dynasty Warriors games may enjoy this more strategic marvel.
