Summary Well Worth It

Pros: Growlanser Generations makes use of the weapon ring system. In this system, the weapon ring that you equip determines not only your attack power of your weapon, but also affects the entire gamut of attributes that make up your character\'s skill. Combine that with the ability to equip each ring with varying levels of gems which add to your character\'s abilities, and this system adds a unique and well thought out element to the gaming experience. Additionally, the numerous sidequests and mission paths offered by the title give the game great replayability, as you will never be playing quite the same game twice.
Cons: The visuals, though reinforced by three-quarter lenght character models during important dialogue, leave much to be desired. For sprite based gaming and given the original release date of the titles, the less that greeat visual appeal does not detract much from the game.

Reviewer's Comments

Especially considering that Growlanser Generations is actually two games for the price of one, the overall value of this game is unbeatable. With 50+ hours of gaming (not including replay time), this game is well worth the money.
