Summary Simply Amazing

Pros: :Stunning visual style; it changes every level. :The game play is simply amazing. I put it in to get first impressions, and ended up playing for 2 hours. Rivals or perhaps even beats Tetris for being the most memorable puzzle game. :The music changes based on your game play; the backgrounds and levels change based on the music. A very interactive experience. :Kept me from using my PSP as an overpriced Frisbee.
Cons: :Playing through challenge mode and listening to the same songs on the first few levels gets old fast. :Everybody on the face of the planet doesn't own a copy yet.

Rising up among the carbon-copy sports games and ho-hum movie-based ports on the system, the PSP has finally got a game that it can call its own. If you don't know yet, Lumines is a simple little puzzler that uses funky levels, combined with neat tunes, and what appears to be magical abilities to keep your ass glued to the couch, and your eyes firmly on the screen. I could talk more about it...but...you just need to pick up a copy yourself and play it. I promise it's worth it. Hopefully the PSP can get more original games like this.
