Summary2K7 plays like Shaq didPros: First off, 2k7 is a simulation compared to the arcade gameplay of NBA Live 07 so if you are a casual basketball fan I recommend you pick up Live. The environments are solid and give the feel off a real NBA arena. The game has a solid amount of extras to keep you playing and the Association game mode is pretty deep. The animations are pretty solid aas you can post up like Shaq or make beautiful passes with the likes of Jason Williams.
Cons: The player models are the worst I've seen on any game on the 360. In comparison with the ESPN NBA basketball series, the presentation falls flat and announcer Kenny Smith is just annoying. Shameless product placement rivals that of Fight Night Round 3 with random adds from Gatorade and Toyota. The 24/7 mode is improved but that doesn't say much as it is still far worse than NBA 07's The Life. The game is also very difficult and I found myself fixing some game settings until I got the hang of it.
Reviewer's Comments
Overall, NBA 2k7 is a decent effort and is superior to NBA Live but is still largely unfinished.
